On the heels of the recently leaked Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update for Samsung Captivate, SamFirmware managed to grab the same software for another member of the Galaxy S family – Sprint’s Epic 4G, which (if you recall) rocks a full side-sliding QWERTY keyboard in addition to the 4-inch touchscreen.
As you can imagine, this isn’t the official yet. Rather the process of updating will require some technical skills and there’s also a risk of your device being bricked if something goes wrong. In any case, you can’t hold IntoMobile responsible… A short disclaimer I had to add.
Again and again we advise you to backup all of your data prior to proceeding. It’s a good practice to have your contacts and calendars stored either on your computer or in the cloud. Heck you can have two copies just in case something doesn’t work as planned.
