Solution to No Weather Location Available on Android

After upgraded  android phone (galaxy ace) to gingerbread version, stock News and Weather app could not find  location even if there were GPS is on. Many users facing this problem as they find an error message "No Weather Location Available". After messing up with the settings  found a solution to the problem. I share it here so that it will help a few people.





Follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings > Location and Security
  • Then you'll find an option "Use wireless networks". This shows that if GPS is not available in your area, the system uses wireless networks (probably your mobile network) to find the location. This is send to maps or other apps to determine the location.

  • Select it to enable.  (put agree on location consent message)

  • Open your News and weather app and refresh. Now it should be able to find your location.
