How to hide data in image,audio & video files : Stegnography Posted by R@hUl | at 10:04 AM

According to wikipedia - "Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message, a form of security through obscurity."
In market many softwares are available for hiding data its also used stegnography.but today i will tell you how to hide or secure your data without any software just using a simple commands.

STEPS :

1. First of all i hope you have  WINRAR on your system. If not then install it.

2. Create one file and store all data in it whatever you want to hide.(i.e file name-"data")

3. now create ZIP file of a  file('data') in which all data are stored.(To create zip file right click on file & click on add to archieve then select zip & apply).

4. Now if you want to hide data in image then get one image on same directory in which you create a zip file. here we name zip file as "data.zip" & we take image name as a "sample.jpg".now open command prompt & go to the directory.here we use directory C: .then write command like

C:\copy /b data.zip+sample.jpg finalresult.jpg

  here "finalresult.jpg" is the final result of our work.you can see more one file in same directory name as "finalresult.jpg".now try to open it. it gives same image like your original image "sample.jpg".dont forget to check size of file you get difference.

Difference is that your data are stored in image.if you double click on it then it gives image as output now question is that how to see data.Dont worry if you want to see data inside image then open image"finalresult.jpg" with winrar.you can see your data as a zip file.

5. Now if you want to hide data in Audio & video files its not difficult its almost same as like above step.

-Get one Audio file on same directory in which you create a zip file.here we name zip file as "data.zip" & we take audio file name as a "sample.mp3".open CMD and write command below

C:\copy /b data.zip+sample.mp3 finalresult.mp3

same as if you want to see data inside mp3 file then open with with winrar.

-Get one video file on same directory in which you create a zip file.here we name zip file as "data.zip" & we take audio file name as a "sample.avi".open CMD and write command below

C:\copy /b data.zip+sample.avi finalresult.avi

same as if you want to see data inside video file then open with with winrar.
