TweetDeck: Desktop Application for Twitter Client

Another desktop application coming up and this one is called TweetDeck. As you know, Twitter has now become one of the most fundamental elements in blogging. The use of this social media has significantly evolved not only as a media to post personal things of our daily life, but also, as a great tool to promote products or services.

Nowadays, the use of Twitter has been revolutionized to the upfront. Used to be, to post updates or just to check the timeline of your Twitter account, you usually enter to your account by using a web browser, say Firefox or Opera, or any phone application if you are entering your Twitter with your smart-phone. But now, by using an awesome desktop application called TweetDeck, we can post updates and check our timeline in real-time mode.

Pros
  • Clean and sophisticated interface
  • Manageable interface
  • The easiness to configure our Twitter account
  • Multiple Twitter accounts, which you can set it via Setting > Accounts > Add New Account
  • Multiple columns (e.g. timeline column, mention column, search column, etc)
Cons

Having tried this desktop application couple of months ago, there was something that really bothered me really much when using this tool. And that was the lameness when it comes to transferring our Twitter updates from our timeline into the application, especially if you’ve already set your TweetDeck with multiple accounts.

Anyway, if you are interested to use this application on your laptop, TweetDeck requires Adobe AIR installed on your laptop and of course, your own Twitter account.
