Google will drop support for older browsers

Internet is rapidly developing, and since many people are using old browsers which do not provide support for new features such as HTML5, Google has decided to take drastic measures.

According to Google, all Google’s services will drop support for older browsers from August 1st. This will start with the loss of the certain features, and it will move towards the loss of entire web services. Google wants to take full advantage of HTML5 and CSS3 technology and since older browsers such as Internet Explorer 7, Safari 3, Firefox 3.5 and their predecessor cannot handle these technologies, Google decided to simply drop the support for those browsers. As far as we know, Google won’t program their services not to work with older browsers, instead, Google won’t test its services on them, and it will focus on newer browsers and technologies in the future.

Google has decided to cut support for older browsers, so if one day you find yourself unable to use your Gmail with your current browser, you’ll know what needs to be done.
